Barbara Elizabeth Taylor was born in New York in July of 1937. She began modeling at age 18 and was soon in demand and working with a wide variety of brands in New York City. Her work was seen in all fashion magazines and catalogs, some of which are shown on this site. Her modeling career spanned about 13 years, during which she was an actress in 40 Television commercials (on camera). She was also an actress on the Tonight Show, Gary Moore Show, Emmy Award shows and several game shows.
In 1970, she became Associate Producer on two popular NBC/TV soap operas: Another World and Somerset. Later in the decade, she became Associate Producer for WNET/TV (Channel 13, Public Television). In this position, Barbara went on to have a major role in the production of five of the most successful on-air fundraising efforts in the station’s history.
